Bio

Dr. Amrut Anant Joshi is an accomplished faculty member and researcher in the field of Structural Engineering. He completed his graduation in Civil Engineering from MIT, Pune, affiliated with the University of Pune, and worked for Tata Consulting Engineers Limited for over two years. He completed his Master's degree and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and has been working with MAEER's group since 2015. His research interests include deployable tensegrity structures, ferrocement-light Gauge Steel Composites, and earthquake resistant design of structures. Dr. Joshi has published multiple research papers in peer-reviewed journals and completed two interdisciplinary industry research projects at MIT-WPU. He is an approved Ph.D. guide and is currently guiding four Ph.D. students while also shouldering academic and administrative coordination responsibilities at the university.
