Bio
Dr. Aachal is a distinguished academician and researcher, holding a PhD in Psychology with a specialization in Personality Factors, Psychopathology, Intelligence, and Smartphone Usage Behavior of Adolescents. A gold medalist in her MA Psychology program, she has in depth understanding of areas like Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology, Personality Psychology, and Smartphone Addiction.
Dr. Aachal has worked with renowned institutions, including Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Podar International School, Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work, Amity University, giving her a very broad perspective in her teaching practices. Her expertise has been pivotal in designing syllabi and developing course structures for some private universities in Maharashtra.
Her counseling practice is grounded in humanistic and cognitive approaches, with a strong focus on the work of eminent psychologists such as Viktor Frankl, Abraham Maslow, Aaron Beck, Robert McCrae, Albert Ellis, Alfred Adler, and Karen Horney. She has received professional training and certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and her practice reflects her deep belief that every individual has a unique potential deserving of encouragement and opportunities for growth.
As a passionate researcher and academic, Dr. Aachal has published and presented her work in various national and international journals and conferences. Her areas of interest include youth mental health, couple's therapy, and family therapy, with a focus on creating healthier, more resilient individuals and communities.
