Bio

Dr Nisha Sooraj holds a Ph.D in Users’ Engagement with Digital Media and a Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She is an alumnus of the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India, Pune with specialization in Feature Film Screenplay writing. She is presently serving as Assistant Professor in Department of Media and Communication at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune. Her area of expertise is Users’ Engagement with Digital Platforms and her areas of interest include Visual Communication, Film Studies and Emerging Media. She has presented many academic papers at national and international conferences & seminars. She is an academician with strong work ethics and intellectual honesty, who is serving on the panel of Subject Matter Experts with Higher Education Institutions in India. With a teaching experience of over seven years, she is a curious learner and a generous knowledge imparter who has been conducting workshops and sessions in her field of expertise.
