Associate Dean’s Message
Prof. Dr. Prasad D. Khandekar
Associate Dean-Faculty of Engineering & Technology
Dear Students & Parents,
Welcome to Faculty of Engineering at MIT World Peace University!
MIT Pune and MITCOE, which are now MIT-WPU, has established its name in the field of engineering education. MIT-WPU’s reputation of a premier engineering institute is evident from its record placements in top national and multinational organisations in India and globally as well.
Having won accolades nationally, MIT-WPU is now focusing on achieving excellence in technical education at an international level. “Industry readiness at global level” as well as “Research and Innovation” are the areas we have identified for achieving our international aims. Furthermore, our BE++ Program is designed towards preparing students for global employability while making them a better human being. MIT-WPU also ensures academic rigor with a strong focus on value based universal education system that promotes an environment for all round development of its students.
To facilitate this holistic development of our students we have come up with a number of unique ventures. The MIT Innovation Centre is established to encourage students and faculty members to design and develop innovative products. As a direct correlation, the number of research publications and patents is steadily growing. Similarly, we have the MIT Technology Business Incubation Centre to incubate the business ideas of students and faculty members and this too has seen rich dividends.
Employability and professional skills formulate a critical part of engineering education. These skills are emphasized through accreditation requirements for engineering programs given by NBA (National Board of Accreditation), India and ABET (Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology), USA. All MIT engineering programs are NBA accredited and we are committed to get NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) and ABET accreditation soon.
We have established Department Advisory Boards in each of our numerous department to take inputs from industry experts, academicians, parents and alumni. Our well-connected network of 10000 plus alumni spread across the globe is always eager to help MIT grow vertically. Many IIT and IIM professors visit MIT regularly to deliver guest lectures, to interact with faculty and to advise our faculty members.
Our team of dedicated senior faculty members supported by our well-trained staff is always willing to bring the best out of each student and mentor them to use their abilities to become responsible and professional individuals.
I look forward to your association with Faculty of Engineering at MIT World Peace Uniersity!
