Program Overview

Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering department of MITWPU’s School of Polytechnic & Skill Development is one of the most sophisticated branches of engineering and has a legacy of training some of the most technically sound engineers in the state. The 6 years Integrated .B.Tech program curriculum emphasizes on fundamental courses necessary for building a strong foundation and producing technically sound engineers.
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering program deals with digital communication, satellite communication, microwave engineering. It also provides thorough knowledge of Embedded Systems, Mobile communications, Microwaves, and Fiber optic communications among others. It offers a basket of elective subjects like Industrial automation, Mechatronics, Electronic Product design and Artificial Intelligence.

Considering the current trends in automation industry, we are in the process of setting up a Robotics & Mechatronics lab to impart first hand training to the students. It is designed for students who desire to become professional engineers in the fields of automation. This course emphasizes the importance of telecommunication and electronics systems along with automation and the applications of principles, learnt in the course to the solution of significant practical problems. It aims to deepen the knowledge and skills of the students in the basic concepts and theories that will empower them in their professional work involving analysis, systems implementation, operation, production, and maintenance of the various applications in the field of Electronics.

The primary objective of the department is to impart value based quality education, training in various areas of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with broad emphasis on design aspects of electronic systems. Here the students are given more practical exposures and innovative methodologies for the design and development in the electronics field, which is the backbone of further specialized disciplines. Proposed Peace programs are introduced during all years of program which will ensure all round development of students with calm, constructive and sharp mind.

  • Prepare and equip students for opportunities in ever-changing engineering domain with hands-on industrial training.

  • Nurture the creativity and inculcate entrepreneurial skills among the students.

  • Organisation of state-level technical Events like ‘Technica’ and ‘Technophilia’ with competitions like Technisketch, network hunt, Googler, Techno-act , Project competition, Quiz, Circuit building competition through Electronics Engineering Student’s Association (EESA).

  • The organisation of extra-curricular activities like poster, soft skills & personality development training for the students

  • Industrial Visits to reputed companies like TATA Motors, Volkswagen, Sant Tukaram Sugar Factory, Katraj Milk Dairy, Mapro Garden, Microelectronics, Husco Hydrolics, Suzlon, Railway station and many more.

  • The organisation of guest lectures of industry experts from Bharat Forge, BSNL, Tipco, SNK Associates, Sanvik.

  • The organisation of hands-on training workshops on PLC, LaTeX.

  • Mentoring of students to keep attention on individual student’s growth and learning path.

Program Structure

Integrated B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is a 6 years Full-time study Programme. After completing the first 3 years of this program, students will directly join the second year at MIT-WPU B. Tech for next 3 years and finally will be all geared up for a variety of engineering roles in industries or becoming entrepreneurs. This program will have a trimester pattern.

For Integrated B.Tech : 20 seats


For Integrated B.Tech: SSC/10th pass or equivalent as per government norms with 60% for open category and 55% for reserve category.
