Industry Interaction / Collaborations

School of Electrical Engineering of MIT-WPU believes the continuous industrial interaction and exposure plays a significant role in making the students competitive for upcoming industrial revolution. The School strives to establish long term interactions and collaborations with various industries for mutual benefits. Followings are some of the initiatives undertaken that ensure the progressive Industry Institute Interaction.

  • Advisory Board and Board of Studies

  • Center of Excellence – Siemens – PLC and SCADA

  • Industry Sponsored Projects

  • Internships

  • Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs)

  • Industrial Visits/National Study Tours

  • Industry talks/Guest lectures/Seminars/Brain storming sessions/Technical discussions

  • Interactive workshops/conferences/symposium

Advisory Board and Board of Studies:
School of Electrical Engineering, MIT WPU has eminent industry personalities of national and international repute on Advisory Board and Board of studies to design and time to time update the curriculum that can cater the requirement of the industry.

Industry Sponsored Projects:
The school encourages students to work on real life industrial/social problems. Students undertake their project work on identified problems and work together with the industry to find the solution through use of advanced technologies

Internships:
The School offers a dedicated trimester (extendable to two trimesters) for internship. The internship is a mandatory part, in which, students undergo internship in the Industry or organization. During the internship, the students not only get knowledge of technical know-hows but also they experience the industry work culture and get acquainted with various important technical and well as managerial aspects such as manufacturing processes, organizational structure, etc. Also, the intern students get the cognizance of skills they must acquire to achieve and sustain in upcoming era and exposed to practical challenges faced by the industries. Students sensitized with these problems undertake their projects in these areas to come up with a working solution.
In addition, the School also encourages the students to undertake short-term internship/training during the vacations.

Collaborators /Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs):
School of Electrical Engineering has MoUs and tie ups with many reputed core as well as software industries in order to achieve shared goals. These MoUs encourage Industry Sponsored projects, Internships, Campus placements.
