Programme Overview

It has been realized that Early Childhood Care Education (ECCE) is a foundation for Pre-Primary education as “Early Years” are the critical period in a child’s life and this is the time of remarkable growth as the brain development is at its peak thus laying the base for future growth and development. The demand for pre-school education has increased tremendously these days due to the various challenges recognized by the government and the policies that have been implemented. This Programme at MITWPU deals with a preschool curriculum which would enable aspiring teachers to acquire a sound educational philosophy and psychology of ECCE along with the understanding of its specialized content and new trends in pre-school such that they may in turn contribute to the child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs and overall well being.MIT – WPU believes in investing to nurture trainers at the ECCE level so that life-long learners may be created and we may also reduce the national cost of investing in remedial programmes. Thus, the Faculty of Education at MIT-WPU through the ECCE Programme caters to meet the requirement of the children’s development that revolve around the domains of physical, motor, emotional, psycho-social and cognitive.
