School of Economics
The School of Economics is equipped with state of the art classrooms. They are furnished with Smart boards and ICT infrastructure in keeping with the digital revolution. The Classrooms are properly ventilated and can accommodate a maximum of 80 students.
The course structure of Economics requires not just theoretical understanding but practical application as well. For this the School of Economics has an independent Computer Lab with facility for free Internet Access. The campus also has a dedicated lease line internet connection. There is a facility for online teaching as well.
They say “When in doubt go to the library”. The MIT-WPU Faculty of Economics library collection has more than 2000 books covering the vastness of the subject. It also subscribes to various national and international magazines.
The Students also have access to JSTOR a digital library of Academic Journals, Books, and Primary sources. Besides, the students have access to the MIT World Peace Central Library.
There goes a saying that “A Reader today is a Leader tomorrow”, for this the library is provided with a reading room facility which provides the necessary quite for qualitative reflection.
MIT-WPU has hostel facilities for both boys and girls at the campus. The Hostel is well equipped with facilities like television, internet, and medical service. The Hostel rooms are well furnished with attached toilet facilities.
MIT-WPU has students from all around the country and to suit the palate of such a vast variety of students the campus is equipped with a fully fledged canteen serving multi cuisine, nutritious food.
MIT-WPU believes not just in the development of the mind but the body as well. For this, the college has a dedicated gymnasium for a regular workout. The College has facilities for outdoor and indoor games. The College has its own Football, Cricket, and Volleyball ground. The College also has its own Table Tennis Room. MIT-WPU has successfully organized several sports tournaments including Sports Summit- a National Level Intercollegiate sports event; Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Chess and Table Tennis tournaments.
