National Study Tour

Tour: IIM Visit
Duration: 6/1/2019 to 11/1/2019
Location: Bangalore (Karnataka)

A National Tour was arranged by MITWPU for its SYCSE students to the city of Bangalore. The students of division B and G, accompanied with 6 faculty members were scheduled to visit Bangalore from 6th of January to 11th January. The 15 hours of the journey was filled with a lot of enthusiasm. The students, as well as the teachers, enjoyed themselves by playing different kinds of games which actually led to a good student-teacher rapport.

Tour: Infosys, ISRO visit
Location: Hyderabad (Telangana)

One sixty five students from the School of Computer Engineering and Technology at the MIT World Peace University, were selected for the National tour of Hyderabad and were joined by 11 professors. The five day trip took place in January 2019 and proved to be a great success due to the enthusiastic input from the students and professors, and the continuing support from the MITWPU and the School of Computer Engineering and Technology.

Tour: TATA Motors, Amul Milk Dairy & IIM Visit

Location: Ahmedabad (Gujarat)

A group of second year students from School of Computer Engineering and Technology, MITWPU, visited Ahmedabad (Gujarat) as a part of National Study Tour. 189 students along with 14 faculties and staff, were part of this activity. The visit was arranged from 7th January to 11thJanuary 2019. Objective of the visit was to make the students aware of various aspects of engineering education.

Event: All India Inter-University Westzone chess tournament 2018

Location: Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola

The University chess team of MIT WPU recently participated in the AIU Inter-University West Zone Chess Competition held at Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola from 28th November to 3rd December 2018. The team put up a superb show by finishing 4th out of 50 Universities from the five states of the West zone, and qualifying for the all-India university Nationals. The first time participants, in spite of their starting rank of 23, fared much better than higher ranked and much experienced opponents and ended up fourth. The team consisting of Devanshu Mistry, Om Rasal, Kuldeep Chotrani, and Anand Shrotri, has now qualified for the all-India university nationals which are going to take place at CCS University, Meerut from 17th December to 20th December 2018. Devanshu Mistry also won individual board prize for having a perfect score of 8.0/8.0
