Shri. Sumant N Shinde is working as an assistant professor in the school of civil Engineering at MITWPU , Pune. He is having industrial experience of 3 years and teaching experience of 14 years. He has graduated from Dr .Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad and Masters in Structural Engineering from M I T Pune. He is teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students and guiding them for their research work. He taught various subjects like Applied Mechanics, strength of materials, concrete Technology, Advanced concrete Technology, Theory of plates and shells, Safety practices in construction industry.
He has represented university of pune in “Avishkar-2010” state level research project competition. His research project is “Fibre Reinforced Blended Concrete Beams in Shear” has funded by University of Pune. Currently he is pursuing PhD in the field of steel fiber reinforced concrete composite from Maharashtra Institute of Technology Pune under the guidance of Dr. Mrudula S. Kulkarni. He has published 03 research papers in international journals, 02 research papers in international conferences and one research paper in national conference. His research interest is fiber reinforced concrete composite in blast resistant design. He is life member of Indian society of structural engineering.
