B. Pharm course is designed considering the needs of industry; the course gives more emphasis on development of knowledge and skill to take care of challenges and opportunities. B. Pharm graduates work in government departments (drug inspector, pharmacist etc.), pharmaceutical companies (manufacturing, packaging, research, formulation development, regulatory affairs, clinical research, legal advisor, quality control, quality assurance, marketing, documentation and technology transfer), universities, research institutes, academic institutes, hospitals, etc. Knowledge Process Outsourcing, Business Process Outsourcing, Pharmacovigilance, Bio-Informatics and Medical Transcription also provides job opportunity and career advancement for the pharmacy professionals. Industries like TCS, Cognizant, Sciformix also recruits pharmacy students in pharmacovigilance departments.

For higher studies, our students often pursue their M. Pharm, MS, MBA, M.Tech or Ph.D. from India and abroad.

Programme Structure


The course of study for B. Pharm shall extend over a period of eight semesters (four academic years) and six semesters (three academic years) for lateral entry students (after D. Pharm). The curricula and syllabi for the program shall be prescribed from time to time by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

Duration: Four Years, Full time programme.

Pattern: Semester, Eight Semesters

Credit System:Choice based credit system.

Fee Structure:Rs. 1,90,000/- per year

Eligibility


Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates

  • The candidate should be an Indian National.

  • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.

  • Should obtain non zero score in MHT-CET 2019 conducted by the Competent Authority.

All India Candidature Candidates

  • The candidate should be an Indian National.

  • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.

  • Should obtain non zero positive score in NEET 2019 or the candidate should have appeared and obtain non zero score in MHT-CET 2019 conducted by the Competent Authority. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in NEET 2019 over the candidates who obtained non zero score in MHT-CET 2019.

NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National

  • The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology, and obtained at least 50 % marks in the above subjects taken together;

  • Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
