About Summer Programme

MIT-WPU’s Summer School Initiative has been built on the philosophy of Knowledge and Peace.The Summer School is focused on being the change that is needed in the world today by sensitizing and understanding the students human dimensions of conflict, and developing a toolbox of transferable and transformational skills such as understanding of the self and the other, understanding life and the ability to overcome challenges, developing a moral code as well as increasing their ability to communicate through various narrative and storytelling skills.This will enable graduates from diverse Programmes to succeed and to be rooted in self confidence, to be able to overcome life challenges and to be continuously able to define their own personal goals.

Summer School 2018

Immersion Programme

This Summer we bring to you programs that are interactive, fun, engaging and rigorous.The student will experience a combination of academics with social, cultural and recreational opportunities for a truly engaging summer.Learners will be engaged in personalized, arts-infused, relevant experiences that guide and prepare students for an ever-changing global society. Our programs explore a variety of topics, including visual arts, dramatics, poetry, dance, play, picnics, hiking, campfire, spoken word and social etiquette, silent film, film with dialog and music activities.The structured program includes a variety of planned activities which are both outdoor and indoor.

Art Infused Program

This is a comprehensive program which emphasizes on a holistic methodology through which we invoke creativity as a fundamental tool for learning.Emotions, human dynamics, expression, non-verbal skills, persuasion, conflict resolution, values and morality are highlighted through the journey of this course.

    • Story Creation – Scene, character, dialogue and setting

    • Skills – Arts & crafts, theater, music, creative writing, literature

    • Modes – Dance, visual arts, play

    • Age Group- 7–17yrs

    • Course Fee – INR 5000/-

Personal Excellence

We at MIT-WPU will assist students to develop their personality through the Personal Excellence Program. Understanding one’s own limitations and overcoming them is a core theme.

    • Skills – Body Language, tone of voice, etiquette, presentation skills, values and manners and communication.

    • Modes – Picnics, hiking, campfire, spoken word and social etiquette activities.

    • Age Group – 7–17yrs

    • Course Fee – INR 5000/-

Art & Craft

Indulge your creative side by trying out different Art and Craft activities. MIT WPU Summer School has an extensive range of children’s art and craft session like paper work, painting, macramé, Preparation of aids for projects and many more.

    • Skills – Hands on activities.

    • Modes – Silent film, Film with Dialog, Music Video

    • Age Group – 7–17yrs

    • Course Fee – INR 5000/-(Inclusive of course material)

Through the Lens

Participants learn basics for making a strong, visually-driven short film with an emphasis on narrative story telling.

    • Story Creation – Essential film grammar, story development, script, music and sound.

    • Skills – Planning, treatment, film shooting, collaboration, team work, coordination, responsibility.

    • Modes – Silent film, Film with Dialog, Music Video

    • Age Group – 7–17yrs

    • Course Fee – INR 7000/-

FAQ’s

Are the meals included?

Lunch is included. It is pure vegetarian and no non vegetarian food is allowed on campus.

Are the teachers qualified?

You are being taught by the best and highly skilled Professors.

Are there supporting staff for my young child?

Yes, we have maids in every class room and bathroom.

We also have assistant teachers for lower age group.

Will my child get a certificate?

Yes, MIT-WPU gives you a certificate of participation.

Are there any emergency facilities?

We have first aid on campus as well as a nurse.

How many teachers per class?

We have one teacher and one teaching assistant in each class.

How large are the classes?

22-25 children in each class.
