B.Tech (Polymer Engineering)

The Department of Polymer Engineering offers an undergraduate B.Tech program with well qualified faculty members and state-of-the-art facilities. The course is designed to provide fundamental understanding of Polymer Science and Engineering (PSE) and exposure to the latest advances and technologies in polymer industry. Polymer engineers work in the realm of developing or testing plastics/rubbers or related equipment and processes. Polymer engineers may work in areas that include, polymer manufacturing industries as production engineers or technologists, quality control inspectors, product design and analysis, equipment design for polymer processing and process management.

Polymer Engineers/ Technologists have high potential job opportunities in both Public Sector and Private Sector enterprises apart from Academic and Research Fields.

Programme Structure

A unique full time 4 years course with Trimester Pattern spread across 12 terms comprising Choice based Credit Systems of 175+ Credits. A blend of periodic written assessment and continuous assessment will be used for better engagement of student and effective evaluation.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria

MIT-WPU follows UGC specified eligibility norms while accepting applications for admissions from students. To be eligible you need to meet the below mentioned criteria-

      • Candidate should have passed 10 + 2 in Science from any statutory board with a minimum of 50% marks in total as well as in PCM.

      • Valid Score in Entrance Examinations conducted by competent authorities.

      • Student can appear for entrance examination conducted by MIT WPU.

      • As per Reservation Policy norms of Government.
