Dear Students & Parents,

Department of Information Technology has a rich history in education, vibrant faculty with a flair for teaching and mentoring students and a culture of collaborative research. This programme provides a dynamic platform for next generation students to be exposed to high end IT education.

Department of Information Technology prepares students for opportunities in every engineering domain with hands-on industrial training. The world-class curriculum ensures that students become globally competent professionals through international exposure.

Students are facilitated with state-of-the-art infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories and an excellent academic environment. They are encouraged to exploit their entrepreneurial skills. Curriculum spreads across a wide range of domains that cover significant components like foundation, core, electives, hands-on projects for practical knowledge, along with unique courses related to World Peace.

Industry interaction plays a vital role in the programme through guest lectures and seminars by experts, internships, student projects and consultancy projects and syllabus development. Memberships in Professional bodies like IEEE, CSI, ISTE, IET and IETE ensure exposure to latest publications and happening in the technical world. Conferences and Short term training courses provides a platform for interaction with expert speakers.

Information Technology plays a critically important role in the development of global society. For Maharashtra State Candidate:

    • Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.

    • Secured minimum 60% in the subjects Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry added together and aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying HSC examinations should be 60% or above.

    • Obtained a positive score in entrance exam conducted either by MHT – CET (2018), or JEE Main (2018)

For All India Candidate:

    • Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.

  • Merit based, on the basis of marks in HSC (2018), JEE Main (2018), MHT-CET (2018) score. As per the norms laid down by the Government of Maharashtra for the year 2018-19

Department Infrastructure

Department is adequately furnished with class rooms, faculty rooms, tutorial rooms, meeting room/conference room and seminar hall, with adequate capacity for smooth conduction of lectures, meetings and guest lecturers etc. The department also has a stocked library which assists the students for necessary reading and reference material.
